"Be careful not to fall fool for a quick fix. Up until then,I had been looking for an external peace-that's a 'quick fix'. I wanted to make my face prettier,my body leaner,my reputation stronger. I thought peace would come after I was beautiful, thin, and cool. What I figured out is that I needed to find an internal peace-a permanent fix. Pretty faces get wrinkles. Bodies gain weight. Reputations get killed by one tiny rumor. When you look back over the years, you see that 'cool' is something different every minute. I craved something solid."
This is a paragraph from the book called The Me Nobody Knew by Shannon McLinden that I really liked and respected.
